Common Plumbing Questions

Plumbing issues can be stressful, but they don’t need to be confusing. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we’re asked. Still unsure? Get in touch for friendly, no-pressure advice from your local team.

What types of plumbing work do you cover?

We handle just about everything except boilers — from first fix pipework to second fix finishes, toilet repairs, radiator installs, shower conversions, and complete plumbing for bathrooms or extensions. If it involves pipes or water, we’ll likely do it. If you’re not sure, give us a call, and we’ll let you know straight away.

Do you do emergency plumbing callouts?

We offer a responsive local service, and although we don’t brand ourselves as an “emergency plumber,” we’ll always do our best to help quickly, especially in cases of leaks or water shut-off issues. If we can’t make it on the same day, we’ll always be honest and recommend the next steps.

Do you do boiler repairs or servicing?

No — we don’t currently carry out any boiler or gas work, as we are not Gas Safe registered. However, we’re happy to recommend a trusted Gas Safe engineer if needed, and we can often work alongside them if your project involves both gas and non-gas elements.

Can you install or move radiators?

Yes, we regularly install, move, or replace radiators as part of larger projects or standalone jobs. We’ll assess the best layout for heat efficiency and manage all pipework cleanly, without damaging your walls or floors unnecessarily.

Will the plumber leave my home tidy?

Absolutely. We take pride in being clean and respectful in every home. Dust sheets go down, the mess is kept to a minimum, and everything is tidied up before we leave — so the only thing we leave behind is quality plumbing.

What areas do you cover?

We’re based in Milton Keynes and typically cover a 20-mile radius, including Newport Pagnell, Woburn Sands, Bletchley, and surrounding villages. If you’re just outside that range, don’t hesitate to ask — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
